Mental Health of Canada ’ s Immigrants

چکیده

Analytical techniques Ageand sex-adjusted prevalence rates of depression and alcohol in immigrants and the Canadian-born population were compared. Variation by length of residence in Canada and country of birth was examined. Multivariate logistic regression models were run separately for depression and alcohol dependence, with adjustment for age, sex, marital status, income, and education. The model was elaborated to consider language barriers, employment status, and sense of belonging.
